DSS manages SKIP CITY Sai-No-Kuni Visual Plaza, a public facility including Visual Museum, Audio Visual Library, Audio Visual Hall, HD Studio, Postproduction, and Rental Office. It also manages MEDIA SEVEN, a media center founded by Kawaguchi city, by the designated administrator system.
DSS maintain SKIP CITY, an industrial base in Kawaguchi city, Saitama. SKIP CITY (3ha of site and buildings of 84,000㎡ in total floor area) accommodates administrative facilities, such as Saitama Industrial Technology Center, Saitama Prefectural Center for Consumer Affairs, and Kawaguchi Science Museum, as well as audiovisual facilities such as Sai-No-Kuni Visual Plaza, NHK Archives, Audio Visual Library, and a few private organizations.
DSS runs SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL (IDCF), co-sponsored by Saitama prefecture and Kawaguchi city. Established in 2004, IDCF was one of the first international competitive film festivals to exclusively feature digital cinema, which has now become the standard format for motion pictures. As a gateway to success for emerging talent, IDCF remains committed to discovering and nurturing new talent.
Event / Exhibition
DSS supports all aspects of events from planning and design to operation. With its experience of managing public events, such as Kawaguchi Products Fair, DSS can manage promotional events and ceremony in cooperation with public organizations and local businesses. DSS also produces exhibitions, workshops and seminars related with videos, animations, games and media art for SKIP CITY Visual Museums and other venues.
DSS is capable of various video productions, such as TV programs, documentary films, promotional videos for city, company, school or products, and archival footage for events and stages. With the use of 4K cameras, DSS provides high-quality contents edited in state-of-the-art postproduction facility.
